Dress #19 is made of a black tencel twill. I’ve clearly been into ruffles lately because this is the third dress I’ve designed with them, and I’m already thinking up more. This dress features a ruffle at the top of the bodice and an elastic waistband. It falls just at the knee.

For Dress #18, I wanted to try another cut out, this time in the back. The cutout is created with two “petals” that intersect at the back neckline. The front bodice is more fitted with side and waist darts and the skirt is cut in a slight aline.
Thank you to Allison Badell who created the stunning gold and pearl necklace I’m wearing. I’ve never seen such unique pearls and it may be one of my favorite pieces yet!

We decided to use our dream home as the backdrop for Dress #17. I WILL own that house someday… The dress is made of a striped cotton sateen and features v-necklines in the front and back with small ruffles at the shoulders and cinched with a chiffon sash.

Found out today that I got some blog lovin’ from Garnish Apparel. I met with the owner, Erica, today to discuss 52Dresses and possible projects in the near future. I’m excited to see what comes of this new relationship!

For Dress #16 I jumped on the high low hem train. I’ve seen it everywhere lately and I love it! The dress is made of rayon and features an elastic waistband with a drawstring. It falls above the knees in front and just above the ankle in back.
